Elise really does do a fantastic job capturing the guys on the day of the wedding. Here are a few of my favorites of the year.
So it has been a while since I have played around with HDR (high dynamic range) but I think that I am really excited that I pulled the trigger on these. The only thing that I am really wanting now it to put a bride in the mix. I am giving a soon to be bride or a bride who already did the walk a complimentary session in downtown Denver. You must be willing to be still like a mannequin. The are going to be very high fashion style and urban.
Wow the weather this weekend has changed so drastically here in Colorado. I have been wishing for cooler days, but down right windy and cold this Saturday. Saturday was quite different than Friday.
I would say on Friday we were still feeling some summer warmth when we shot Nikki and Alex. In fact I was in a fierce battle with the sun. It wasn't until we got to the Gatehouse that the sun finally let up on me.
But then on Saturday the cold rainy weather blew in with no reservations.

Kristi was really still hoping that at this point the ceremony could be outside, but the weather didn't look like it was going to let up.
We had to sneak her through the kitchen so Scott couldn't get a peek.
It was too cold and wet so the ceremony was held inside, but there was some light coming through the windows which gave some nice results.

After the ceremony we came out for a walk around the grounds. It was dark, but I just loved the colors around here. I knew that if I got down on the ground and steadied myself with a slow shutter speed I could let some of that blue night sky come in.
I love finding these notes for vows. I love how all the important words can be seen and I just love how sincere and tender it all is.
Last Sunday I had the honor of photographing Dianna and Steve at Lower Lake Ranch.
It is a beautiful and secluded area. I recommend this place for a Colorado venue.
